Stacey Schumake
Director of Learning Environment and Platform
Stacey Shumake comes to SparkNC with almost two decades of experience in education. Her passion in education lies in supporting educators in designing and implementing innovative strategies to prepare every student for success.
Prior to joining the team at SparkNC, Stacey was a magnet coordinator at an immersion magnet school where she led school marketing, global learning and immersion language programs, and teacher coaching. As a project strategist at the Innovation Project, she focused on supporting district, school, and classroom redesign and teacher pipeline growth. Stacey also served as a professional development specialist at DreamBox Learning and an associate consultant for Public Impact where she helped districts and schools design and implement differentiated teaching roles to improve teacher development, decrease teacher turnover, and increase student achievement.
As an educator at the elementary and high school levels, she specialized in curriculum integration, alternative learning methods for struggling learners, and technology tools for educators. Along with being at the head of innovative instructional practices, Stacey has also held a variety of teacher leadership roles. Stacey has a BFA in K-12 education from Kent State University.
