Designer

Dawnn Breynae, Learning Experience Designer at SparkNC, has focused her work on creating partnerships with local and global educators, corporations, organizations, and community leaders, to ignite passion for STEM learning among culturally diverse youth. By connecting young learners with mentors and relevant ongoing tech experiences, she believes that they will become innovators and economic drivers through STEM fields.

Prior to joining SparkNC, Dawnn served as a Broadcast and Emerging Media Specialist in distance learning at the NC School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM). Before NCSSM, she served as the Technology Facilitator, Testing Coordinator, and Camp Director for a Title 1 school. She currently serves as the Co-Curriculum Lead for the RDU chapter of Black Girls Code and helps students present themselves to the world as confident, critical thinkers, prepared for a variety of post-graduation opportunities.

Dawnn holds a BA in Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism from NC State University, and from NC Central University she earned an MA in Educational Technology and a graduate level E-Learning Instructor Certificate.
