Design Sprint at
Live Oak Bank
At the I’m That Designer design sprint in Wilmington, sponsored by Live Oak Bank, students, family members, and district leaders brainstormed the kinds of learning experiences SparkNC might create. SparkNC Teamship
Work-based learning with
District C
In District C’s Spark Teamship model, teams of students learn about the tech industry while solving real problems for real businesses or organizations with the support of a certified coach. District C will provide Spark Teamship programs to serve an estimated 1,708 students and 54 educators across 20 districts, involving more than 200 business partners.
Coming Fall 2022 - SparkNC Career Navigation
Mapping Credentials with Agile City
Agile City is collecting, analyzing, and sharing data on credential programs related to high-tech fields available to students in The Innovation Project’s member districts, starting with credentials in the areas of cybersecurity and coding. Agile City is working with fellow SparkNC partner myFutureNC on data formatting and integration.

Conference on Ethical Tech
NCSSM Ethics & Leadership Conference
SparkNC is co-sponsoring the 2022 Ethics & Leadership Conference with the North Carolina School of Science & Mathematics (NCSSM). SparkNC is supporting students from The Innovation Project’s member districts to attend the conference in-person or virtually. The theme of this year’s conference is the intersection of ethics and technology.
